Bakery
Our bakery counter is the warmest corner of the kitchen, the part that smells like someone is already up and baking. Our mums make biscuits, nankhatai, tea cakes, holige and slow-baked breads in small batches through the morning, the same way they do at home for a festival tray or a child’s birthday. We use the ingredients we keep in our own pantry: stone-milled flours, ghee, jaggery, and just enough sugar. A biscuit that cracks a little differently each time is a biscuit made by hand, not by machine. Some of our bakes are tied to the season, sesame holige around Sankranti and plum cake through December, and they come and go as the year turns.Order from the bakery for delivery across Bengaluru or shipping across India. The day’s bake is packed so it reaches you still soft. Pair the sweets with a cup of our Coorg coffee, or keep a loaf for the week’s breakfasts. Every recipe here travelled from a mum’s home kitchen into ours.
