South past Jayanagar from our kitchen. BTM runs young and busy, and our catering here is usually about feeding a lot of people well without much fuss.
BTM Layout is where the city's young workforce lives when it wants to be between everywhere. The 1st and 2nd Stage blocks hold a dense mix of paying guest houses, shared flats and small independent homes, populated largely by people in their twenties and early thirties working in Koramangala, Electronic City or the ring road offices. The main roads run on budget food, bike servicing and mobile recharges. Weekday mornings empty the layout out and evenings refill it, and the functions that happen here are timed around exactly that rhythm, late starts, late finishes.
Dense, rented and full of people in their twenties working nearby. Office parties, small company celebrations and shared-flat gatherings are the norm, and the ask is nearly always good vegetarian food in volume.
Office parties and small company celebrations borrowed from the nearby work hubs, flat birthdays and farewell gatherings, cricket final screenings with food that survives extra time, and festival potlucks among flatmates who cook between them one festival meal a year. The consistent ask is good vegetarian food in volume, served without ceremony, at a price a team or a flat crowd can split.
For a BTM gathering we would suggest Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav with butter-slathered pav, Pakoda fresh from the kadai when the evening cools, and Gulab Jamun to close. It is party food that feeds a crowd properly, and it is all still cooked by our mothers in small batches the same evening, not assembled from packets.
South past Jayanagar the run is about forty-five minutes, and BTM's inner roads are one-way in stretches, so the route in differs from the route out and we plan both. There is little parking on the main roads, so we work from a small vehicle standing in a bylane with a team member with it. Most events here are evening ones, which we schedule either side of the peak, and the hot boxes go up stairs and narrow lift lobbies in stacks.
We set up in office floors, small banquet rooms and apartment community halls, around BTM Layout 2nd Stage and Bannerghatta Road. Every plate is pure-veg, and we prepare Jain options on request.
Can you cater a BTM office party on a weekday evening? Yes. Weekday evenings are the standard slot here, served after the office crowd is back, with counts confirmed by afternoon. Snack-led menus work best for this crowd, and we can scale from fifteen plates to a hundred and fifty on the same evening's run.
Do you do budget-friendly party food for BTM flat crowds? We do. Chaat, pav bhaji, pakoda and a sweet, quoted per plate so a flat or a team can split it without surprises. The food is home-cooked the same day, and Jain or no-onion-garlic versions are marked separately when the crowd needs them.
Use the enquiry form on this page with your occasion and headcount. We reply with a suggested menu and a quote, and adjust both until they fit. Weddings and corporate events need about a week, small gatherings a couple of days.
