A few minutes down from Malleshwaram Circle. Seshadripuram runs on colleges and small offices, so we do a lot of compact, well-timed meals here.
Seshadripuram runs on students. Between the circle and Nagappa Street there are colleges, coaching classes, stationery shops and hostels, and from July to March the pavements belong to teenagers with files under their arms. Above and behind the commerce sit older homes and walk-up flats where teaching and trading families have lived for decades, plus small offices that took over ground-floor houses when rents made sense. PG accommodation fills the lanes near the colleges. The crowd changes hour by hour, rush at eight, quiet at eleven, loud again at four, and any catering here has to fit around somebody else's timetable rather than its own.
Colleges, coaching centres and small offices sit shoulder to shoulder with old homes. The catering that suits it is unfussy: staff lunches, seminar meals and family functions in flats where the kitchen is too small to cook for thirty.
Seminar and conference days at the colleges, where a few hundred delegates need lunch between sessions, are the big ones. Then staff lunches at the small offices, farewell meals for retiring teachers, and family functions in flats where thirty guests already fill the living room. Exam-season snack boxes for coaching centres come up regularly too.
For seminar days we would suggest tiffin-scale food that eats fast and neatly: Khara Bath and Chow Chow Bath in the morning slots, Thatte Idli with Chutney for quick service, and Coorg Arabica Coffee in flasks rather than urn coffee. Delegates notice the difference, and it still costs less than a full plate lunch.
The run down from Malleshwaram Circle is only a few minutes, but the circle itself jams between eight and ten in the morning, so for college events we leave after that clears. Nagappa Street has almost no parking, so we double up near the college gate with permission from the security desk and move the van between loads. Office deliveries go out in smaller vehicles that can slip through.
We set up in college and office halls, community rooms and apartment terraces, around Seshadripuram Circle and Nagappa Street. Every plate is pure-veg, and we prepare Jain options on request.
Do you cater college seminars in Seshadripuram? Yes. Seminar lunches are served in batches between sessions, with counts confirmed a day ahead and veg and Jain plates labelled separately if the organisers need that. Because you are minutes from our kitchen, replenishing a counter mid-event is not a problem.
Can you cook for a family function inside a Seshadripuram flat? We can. In a flat we keep the cooking to the finishing stages, set the serving table in the hall or on the landing with the association's permission, and clear out fully afterwards. The heavy preparation stays in our kitchen a few streets away.
Use the enquiry form on this page with your occasion and headcount. We reply with a suggested menu and a quote, and adjust both until they fit. Weddings and corporate events need about a week, small gatherings a couple of days.
